The Mileu table and the 12 chairs are the pieces of resistance of the salon in the "Casa Olarilor" Guesthouse. The table is 3 meters long and the almost 1,500 holes reproduce a traditional Romanian model. Through this lace, made of wood, light can pass and forms a carpet on the floor. Around the table, which was also exhibited at the Cantacuzino Castle, there are 12 carved chairs, which represent the feminine-masculine balance and contain symbols such as the star, the sun, the column, the pillar of the house, the cross, the 4-leaf clover. The Infinity Column shelf fits perfectly and is part of the collection.
And for the concept of the living room we went back to the past and remembered that in popular tradition, the passage of years is represented as a link in the middle of a chain, composed of 12 days and 12 nights. During this period, people put everything aside and deal with Time seriously: they restore it, regenerate it, repair what was broken. If they didn't, the world would end. Without people, Time would die. Extinguishing the fire (a light), they close the cycle of a weary Time. By rekindling the fire (a light) I make possible the beginning of another cycle.
